Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
स तमुच्छ्र्रतमत्यर्थं महावेगो महाकपिः।।।।उरसा पातयामास जीमूतमिव मारुतः।
sa tam ucchritam atyarthaṁ mahāvego mahākapiḥ | urasā pātayāmāsa jīmūtam iva mārutaḥ ||
Ang dakilang kapī, napakabilis at di masukat ang sigla, ay ibinagsak ang bundok na sumasalubong—dinagan sa dibdib, gaya ng hanging nagpapabagsak ng makapal na ulap.
The great vanara,who was swift in action felled down the mountain that had risen high instantly with his chest just as the wind would strike a cloud.
Steadfastness in duty: Hanumān does not allow even a well-intentioned obstacle to divert him from his righteous mission undertaken for Rāma.
As Hanumān flies over the ocean toward Laṅkā, the mountain (Maināka) rises up before him; Hanumān forcefully presses it down to continue his flight.
