'Rama smashed the trees and stones Vali hurled at him and then struck him down with thunderbolt-like arrows.
The verse primarily narrates consequence in conflict; ethically, it frames the irreversible outcome of violence and the need for responsible action in war.
The monkeys recount how Rāma overcame the missiles Vāli hurled and finally brought him down with powerful arrows.
Rāma’s martial prowess and decisiveness in combat are emphasized through the imagery of vajra-like arrows.
