Tara’s Counsel to Vali on Sugriva’s Roar and Rama’s Alliance
'Rama is immeasurable in prowess and unconquerable in war. Therefore, enmity with him is not desirable for you.
Dharma includes avoiding unjust and ruinous conflict; wisdom is to refrain from hostility toward a righteous and overwhelmingly powerful opponent.
Tārā explicitly counsels Vāli that opposing Rāma is improper and dangerous.
Prudence (nīti) and restraint—choosing peace when war would be wrongful and catastrophic.
