The Appearance of Parasurama on the Return from Mithila
dattvā bahu dhanaṃ rājā samanujñāpya pārthivam |
praviveśa svanilayaṃ mithilāṃ mithileśvaraḥ ||
Valiant Parasurama, son of Jamadagni, having accepted the homage offered by the saints addressed Rama, son of Dasaratha and said:ইত্যার্ষে শ্রীমদ্রামাযণে বাল্মীকীয আদিকাব্যে বালকাণ্ডে চতুস্সপ্ততিতমস্সর্গ:৷৷Thus ends the seventyfourth sarga of Balakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epiccomposed by sage Valmiki.
Maryādā as dharma: even powerful kings act with courtesy—seeking consent and concluding events in an orderly, respectful way.
Janaka formally concludes his hosting duties and returns home after Daśaratha’s departure preparations.
Respectful conduct and adherence to protocol.
