Bharata Beholds Rama’s Forest Bed
Sita has, indeed, accomplished her object by accompanying her husband (to the forest). Bereft of that magnanimous Rama, all of us are in doubt (if he will accept our services).
Commitment to rightful relationship-duties: Sītā exemplifies spousal dharma by choosing shared hardship; the community’s distress highlights dependence on a righteous ruler.
After Rāma’s exile, Sītā has accompanied him; those remaining in Ayodhyā feel uncertainty and moral disorientation without Rāma.
Sītā’s steadfast devotion and resolve—willingness to share exile as a matter of principle, not convenience.
