अत्र्याश्रमगमनम् तथा अनसूयोपदेशः
Arrival at Atri’s Hermitage and Anasuya’s Counsel
त्यक्त्वा ज्ञातिजनं सीते मानमृद्धं च भामिनि।अवरुद्धं वने रामं दिष्ट्या त्वमनुगच्छसि।।।।
tyaktvā jñātijanaṃ sīte mānam ṛddhaṃ ca bhāmini |
avaruddhaṃ vane rāmaṃ diṣṭyā tvam anugacchasi ||
“O Sītā, marangal na ginang—iniwan mo ang iyong mga kamag-anak at ang masaganang ginhawa; mapalad kang sumusunod kay Rāma, kahit siya’y napipigil at naninirahan sa gubat.”
O noble Sita, by the grace of heaven you are following Rama, forsaking your kinsmen and wealth and confining yourself to the forest.
Dharma is framed as loyal accompaniment and shared fate—choosing duty and solidarity over comfort, status, and social security.
Anasūyā praises Sītā for accompanying Rāma into exile, despite the loss of palace life and family support.
Tyāga (renunciation) and steadfast companionship rooted in marital duty (pativratā-dharma).
