It teaches that devotion to Rudra brings limitless heavenly merit, and that offering a lamp (dīpa-dāna) specifically leads to jñāna-cakṣu—inner spiritual insight.
“Jñāna-cakṣu” literally means “the eye of knowledge,” implying awakened discernment or spiritual vision—an ability to see truth beyond ordinary perception.
It links a concrete act of giving (offering light) with an inner result (illumination of understanding), presenting dāna as both merit-producing and transformative.
