Ekādaśī, the Day Sacred to Hari

सूत उवाच । एकादश्यास्तु माहात्म्यं किमहं वच्मि सांप्रतम् । श्रुत्वा चैकादशीनाम यमदूताश्च शंकिताः

sūta uvāca | ekādaśyāstu māhātmyaṃ kimahaṃ vacmi sāṃpratam | śrutvā caikādaśīnāma yamadūtāśca śaṃkitāḥ

Sinabi ni Sūta: Ano pa ang masasabi ko ngayon tungkol sa kadakilaan ng Ekādaśī? Sapagkat sa pagkarinig pa lamang ng pangalan ng Ekādaśī, ang mga sugo ni Yama ay nanginginig sa takot.
