The Greatness of Kāśī (Avimukta): Pilgrimage Calendar, Yātrā-Dharma, and the Network of Śiva-Liṅgas

Narada (narrating a tirtha/linga-mahatmya teaching)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta (peace)
Secondary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
It teaches that mere darśana of a highly revered Liṅga at its supreme seat removes recurring sorrow and grants lasting spiritual success that carries across births.
It emphasizes bhakti expressed through reverent pilgrimage and darśana—approaching the deity’s emblem in a sanctified place—where sincere seeing and honoring becomes a direct means to inner transformation.
The verse primarily highlights tīrtha-dharma (pilgrimage discipline) rather than a specific Vedāṅga; the practical takeaway is the ritual principle of darśana-phala—spiritual merit obtained through proper sacred visitation.
