The Account of Mohinī (Mohinī-kathanam): Ekādaśī Nirṇaya, Daśamī Boundary, and Aruṇodaya
विज्ञापयामास पितः पुरोधा ममायमत्युग्रतरश्च कोपात् । दग्धं शरीरं मम लोकनाथ पुनः प्रपत्स्येऽथ तथा कुरुष्व ॥ २९ ॥
vijñāpayāmāsa pitaḥ purodhā mamāyamatyugrataraśca kopāt | dagdhaṃ śarīraṃ mama lokanātha punaḥ prapatsye'tha tathā kuruṣva || 29 ||
Isinamo ng punong pari ng angkan sa kanyang ama: “Dahil sa aking napakabangis na galit, ang aking katawan ay nasunog. O Panginoon ng daigdig, muli akong magpapakupkop (magbabalik sa katawan); kaya gawin mo ang nararapat.”

By addressing the “Lokanātha” and seeking refuge again, the verse reflects śaraṇāgati (taking shelter). Even amid suffering caused by one’s own fault, turning to the Lord and asking for what is “fitting” aligns the devotee with divine guidance.
The verse implicitly points to Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the mention of the purohita, who mediates correct expiatory and restorative rites when disorder arises from intense passions like anger.
