संजयस्याभवत्पुत्रो वीरो नाम पुरंजयः जनमेजयो महाराज पुरंजयसुतो ऽभवत् //
saṃjayasyābhavatputro vīro nāma puraṃjayaḥ janamejayo mahārāja puraṃjayasuto 'bhavat //
Si Saṃjaya ay nagkaroon ng anak na lalaki, ang matapang na si Puraṃjaya; at ang dakilang hari na si Janamejaya ay isinilang bilang anak ni Puraṃjaya.
