Adhyaya 80 — Vaivasvata Manvantara: Enumeration of Manus and the Eighth Manu Sāvarṇi
मुख्या ह्येते समाख्याता देवा मन्वन्तराधिपाः ।
मारीचस्यैव ते पुत्राः कश्यपस्य प्रजापतेः ॥
mukhyā hy ete samākhyātā devā manvantarādhipāḥ / mārīcasyaiva te putrāḥ kaśyapasya prajāpateḥ
Sila ang tinatawag na Mukhyas—ang mga diyos na namumuno sa isang Manvantara. Tunay ngang sila ang mga anak ni Marīci, na isinilang mula kay Kaśyapa na Prajāpati.
