Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
उत्तमाख्यानमखिलं जन्म चैवोत्तमस्य च ।
नित्यं शृणोति विद्वेषं स कदाचिन्न गच्छति ॥
uttamākhyānam akhilaṃ janma caivottamasya ca / nityaṃ śṛṇoti vidveṣaṃ sa kadācin na gacchati
Sinumang palaging nakikinig sa ganap na salaysay tungkol kay Uttama at sa kapanganakan ni Auttama—hindi kailanman darating sa kanya ang poot at pagkamuhi.
Regular śravaṇa (listening) to dharmic-cosmic histories is presented as a remedy for inner hostility. The ethical claim is psychological: noble narratives habituate the mind away from envy and enmity.
Manvantara (with an attached phalaśruti): the manvantara-account is framed not only as cosmology but as a dharma-practice through hearing.
‘Hatred does not arise’ can be read as the pacification of dvandvas (inner opposites). Cosmic-cycle contemplation reorients the ego from personal grievance to a larger order (ṛta/dharma).
