Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
ततः स तस्यान्तनयो जज्ञे राज्ञो महात्मनः ।
पौर्णमास्यां यथा कान्तश्चन्द्रः संपूर्णमण्डलः ॥
tataḥ sa tasyāntanayo jajñe rājño mahātmanaḥ | paurṇamāsyāṃ yathā kāntaś candraḥ saṃpūrṇa-maṇḍalaḥ ||
Pagkaraan, isinilang sa dakilang-loob na haring iyon ang isang anak na lalaki—gaya ng kagandahan ng kabilugan ng buwan sa gabi ng kabilugan, ganap ang bilog nito.
Purāṇic narration links auspiciousness (paurṇamāsī) with the emergence of a dharma-bearing heir, implying that cosmic rhythms and moral destiny can coincide.
Vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita: dynastic continuation via the birth of an heir who will become Manvantara-linked (Manu).
The full-moon image suggests completeness and sattva—an inner wholeness suited to lawgiving and epochal stewardship (Manu-function).
