Adhyaya 63 — The Birth of Svarocis and the Rescue of Manoramā: The Astra-Heart and the Healing of Curses
नष्टस्मृतिर्यदा क्रुद्धः स्वमपत्यञ्चिखादिषुः ।
निशाचरत्बं गन्तासि तदस्त्रानलतापितः ॥
naṣṭa-smṛtir yadā kruddhaḥ svam apatyam cikhādiṣuḥ | niśācaratvaṃ gantāsi tad-astrānala-tāpitaḥ ||
“Kapag, sa pagkawala ng alaala, magngangalit ka at (maghahangad na) lamunin ang sarili mong mga supling, kung gayon—na sinusunog ng apoy ng mga sandata—papasok ka sa kalagayan ng isang gumagala sa gabi (niśācara).”

Anger coupled with delusion (loss of discernment/memory) drives one toward the gravest violations of dharma (violence against one’s own), and such inner collapse is portrayed as producing an outer ‘demonic’ condition.
