Adhyaya 32 — Rules for Parvana Śrāddha: Foods that Please the Ancestors and Items to Avoid
श्रद्धया परया दत्तं पितॄणां नामगोत्रतः ।
यदाहारास्तु ते जातास्तदाहारत्वमेति तत् ॥
śraddhayā parayā dattaṃ pitṝṇāṃ nāma-gotrataḥ / yad āhārās tu te jātās tad āhāratvam eti tat
Ang anumang ibinigay nang may sukdulang pananampalataya, na iniuukol sa mga Pitṛ sa pagbanggit ng kanilang mga pangalan at gotra (angkan), ay nagiging mismong pagkain nila—anumang anyo ng sustansiyang angkop sa kanila, yaong handog ay umaabot sa gayong kalagayan.
