Adhyaya 31 — Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure

Ritual has stages and closure: one completes duties to ancestors, then proceeds to fire-offering only after ‘permission’—a model of orderly conduct and reverence.
Ācāra instruction supporting social-religious order; not a pancalakṣaṇa narrative unit.
Moving from Pitṛ offerings to Agni symbolizes transferring merit and intention from the subtle ancestral sphere into the transformative principle of fire—internalizing and sealing the rite.
