उपतस्थु: प्रकृतयः समस्ता ब्राह्मणै:ः सह । सभाजित: ससैन्यस्तु प्रतिनन्द्याथ मत्स्यराट्,फिर ब्राह्मणोंसहित समस्त प्रजावर्गके लोग उपस्थित हुए। सबने सेनासहित मत्स्यराजका अभिनन्दन एवं स्वागत-सत्कार किया
upatasthuḥ prakṛtayaḥ samastā brāhmaṇaiḥ saha | sabhājitaḥ sasainyas tu pratinandyātha matsyarāṭ ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “Dumalo ang lahat ng nasasakupan, kasama ang mga brāhmaṇa. Ang hari ng Matsya—napaliligiran ng kanyang hukbo—ay binati nang may papuri at pinarangalan ayon sa nararapat na kaugalian.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights rāja-dharma and social dharma: subjects and brāhmaṇas uphold order by offering proper respect to the ruler, while the king’s public reception with his army reflects the visible structure of governance and communal cohesion.
The people of the Matsya kingdom, along with the brāhmaṇas, assemble and approach the Matsya king. They greet him, acclaim him, and perform formal acts of welcome and honor as he appears with his troops.
