The verse highlights the ethical-spiritual authority of tapas and the rishi lineage: places sanctified by disciplined austerity and sustained by the presence of realized sages become enduring centers of dharma and guidance for rulers and seekers.
Dhaumya identifies and praises a renowned sacred site for the king, pointing out the great mountain-hermitage called Bhṛgutūṅga, made famous because the sage Bhṛgu performed austerities there and because it is frequented by many great seers.
