Educational Q&A

Devoted worship of ancestors and gods, performed with sincerity at a sacred place, can yield spiritual merit surpassing even the most prestigious royal sacrifices; inner devotion and dharmic intent are emphasized over sheer ritual grandeur.

A speaker extols the extraordinary merit of performing an abhiṣeka and engaging in pitṛ-and-deva worship at the particular holy site being described, stating that sages regard its reward as ten times that of an Aśvamedha.
