Dharma-śaṅkā-nivāraṇa: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Response on Karma-Phala and Trust in Dharma

यो हि दिष्टमुपासीनो निर्विचिष्ट:सुखं शयेत्‌ । अवसीदेत्‌ स दुर्बुद्धिरामो घट इवोदके,जो खोटी बुद्धिवाला मनुष्य प्रारब्ध (भाग्य)-का भरोसा रखकर उद्योगसे मुँह मोड़ लेता और सुखसे सोता रहता है, उसका जलमें रखे हुए कच्चे घड़ेकी भाँति विनाश हो जाता है

yo hi diṣṭam upāsīno nirviciṣṭaḥ sukhaṃ śayet | avasīdet sa durbuddhir āmo ghaṭa ivodake ||

Wika ni Yudhiṣṭhira: “Ang taong kumakapit lamang sa ‘tadhana,’ walang pag-unawang nagsusuri at walang pagsisikap, at nahihiga pa nang panatag—ang hangal na iyon ay lulubog sa kapahamakan, gaya ng palayok na hilaw na inilagay sa tubig.”
