Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Pṛthā, isinilang ka sa angkang maharlika, at ang iyong kagandahan ay pambihira. Kaayon ng iyong marangal na pinagmulan at anyo, ikaw ay pinagkalooban ng kahusayan—may mabuting asal at wastong gawi, sagana sa mga birtud, at may isip na mapagmuni at malinaw ang paghatol.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Noble birth and outward excellence are presented as meaningful when matched by inner virtues—good character, right conduct, and thoughtful discernment. The verse links social status to ethical responsibility and cultivated qualities.
Vaiśampāyana addresses Pṛthā (Kuntī) with respectful praise, highlighting her royal origin, remarkable beauty, and—more importantly—her moral and intellectual qualities, framing her as naturally suited to virtuous conduct.
