Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya

वैशम्पायन उवाच लब्ध्वा वरं तु कौन्तेयो जलादुत्तीर्य धर्मवित्‌ । जग्राह पादौ धौम्यस्य भ्रातृश्च॒ परिषस्वजे,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! पूर्वोक्त वर पाकर धर्मके ज्ञाता कुन्तीनन्दन युधिष्ठिर गंगाजीके जलसे बाहर निकले। उन्होंने धौम्यजीके दोनों चरण पकड़े और भाइयोंको हृदयसे लगा लिया

vaiśampāyana uvāca | labdhvā varaṃ tu kaunteyo jalād uttīrya dharmavit | jagrāha pādau dhaumyasyā bhrātṝṃś ca pariṣasvaje ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Matapos matamo ang biyaya, ang anak ni Kuntī—si Yudhiṣṭhira, na nakaaalam ng dharma—ay umahon mula sa tubig ng ilog. Buong paggalang niyang hinawakan ang mga paa ni Dhaumya at niyakap ang kanyang mga kapatid nang taos-puso.
