Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya
उभे संध्ये पठेन्नित्यं नारी वा पुरुषो यदि । आप प्राप्य मुच्येत बद्धों मुच्येत बन्धनात्,स्त्री हो या पुरुष यदि दोनों संध्याओंके समय इस स्तोत्रका पाठ करता है तो आपत्तिमें पड़कर भी उससे मुक्त हो जाता है। बन्धनमें पड़ा हुआ मनुष्य बन्धनसे मुक्त हो जाता है
ubhe sandhye paṭhennityaṃ nārī vā puruṣo yadi | āp prāpya mucyeta baddho mucyeta bandhanāt ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Kung babae man o lalaki, kapag palagi niyang binibigkas ang himnong ito sa dalawang sandhyā—sa bukang-liwayway at sa dapithapon—kahit mahulog siya sa kapahamakan ay makalalaya siya roon; at ang nakagapos ay mapapalaya sa pagkakagapos.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Regular recitation at the two sandhyā-times is presented as a disciplined devotional practice that grants protection in adversity and even release from bondage, emphasizing the transformative power of steady spiritual observance.
Vaiśampāyana states the fruit (phalaśruti) of a particular stotra: anyone—woman or man—who recites it daily at dawn and dusk gains deliverance from calamity and freedom from imprisonment or binding constraints.
