Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya
सप्तम्यामथवा षष्ठ्यां भक््त्या पूजां करोति यः । अनिर्विण्णो5नहंकारी त॑ लक्ष्मीर्भजते नरम्,जो सप्तमी अथवा षष्ठीको खेद और अहंकारसे रहित हो भक्तिभावसे आपकी पूजा करता है, उस मनुष्यको लक्ष्मी प्राप्त होती है
saptamyām athavā ṣaṣṭhyāṁ bhaktyā pūjāṁ karoti yaḥ | anirviṇṇo 'nahaṅkārī taṁ lakṣmīr bhajate naram ||
Sinabi ni Yudhiṣṭhira: “Maging sa ikapitong araw o sa ikaanim, ang sinumang magsagawa ng pagsamba nang may debosyon—walang panghihina ng loob at walang pagmamataas—ang taong iyon ay pinapaboran ni Lakṣmī (kasaganaan).”
