हरयो विविशुर्व्योम प्रगृह्ा महती: शिला: । वानरोंने देखा कि वह राक्षस छिपकर निरन्तर बाणोंकी झड़ी लगा रहा है, तब वे हाथोंमें बड़ी-बड़ी शिलाएँ लिये आकाशमें उड़ गये और उसकी खोज करने लगे
harayo viviśur vyoma pragṛhya mahatīḥ śilāḥ |
Wika ni Mārkaṇḍeya: Ang mga vānarā, tangan ang malalaking bato, ay lumundag paitaas sa himpapawid. Nang makita nilang ang rākṣasa ay nagkukubli ngunit walang tigil sa pagpapaulan ng mga palaso, sila’y umakyat sa ere upang hanapin siya—tinutugon ang lihim na paglusob at dahas sa pamamagitan ng pagbabantay, lakas ng sama-sama, at pasyang pagkilos.
