Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
स तावुवाच तेजस्वी सहितौ रामलक्ष्मणौ | गृध्रराजो5स्मि भद्र वां सखा दशरथस्य वै,तब तेजस्वी जटायुने साथ आये हुए श्रीराम और लक्ष्मण दोनों भाइयोंसे कहा--/आप दोनोंका भला हो। मैं राजा दशरथका मित्र गृध्रराज जटायु हूँ!
sa tāv uvāca tejasvī sahitau rāma-lakṣmaṇau | gṛdhrarājo 'smi bhadra vāṃ sakhā daśarathasya vai ||
Pagdaka, ang maningning na si Jatāyu ay nagsalita kina Rāma at Lakṣmaṇa na magkasama: “Pagpapala sa inyong dalawa. Ako si Jatāyu, hari ng mga buwitre, at tunay na kaibigan ni Haring Daśaratha.”
