Indrajit’s Binding, Restoration by Viśalyā, and Counsel Restraining Rāvaṇa (Āraṇyaka Parva 273)
सृज्यते ब्रह्ममूर्तिस्तु रक्षते पौरुषी तनु: । रौद्रीभावेन शमयेत् तिसख््रो5वस्था: प्रजापते:,“ब्रह्माजीके रूपसे भगवान् सृष्टि करते हैं। परमपुरुष नारायणरूपसे इसकी रक्षा करते हैं तथा रुद्रस्वरूपसे सबका संहार करते हैं। इस प्रकार प्रजापालक भगवान्की ये तीन अवस्थाएँ हैं
sṛjyate brahmamūrtis tu rakṣate pauruṣī tanuḥ | raudrībhāvena śamayet tisro ’vasthāḥ prajāpateḥ ||
Sinabi ni Bhīmasena: “Bilang anyong Brahmā, iniluluwal ng Panginoon ang paglikha; bilang Kataas-taasang Persona (Nārāyaṇa) na may katawan, pinangangalagaan Niya ito; at sa pag-angkin ng kalagayang Rudra, dinadala Niya ang lahat sa pagwawakas. Kaya ang Panginoong namamahala sa mga nilalang ay nauunawaang may tatlong gampanin—paglikha, pag-iingat, at pagkalusaw.”
भीमसेन उवाच
The verse presents a functional theology: one supreme Lord is understood through three operative modes—creating as Brahmā, preserving as the Puruṣa (often identified with Nārāyaṇa/Viṣṇu), and dissolving as Rudra—thereby maintaining cosmic order.
Bhīma articulates a doctrinal explanation about the Lord’s governance of the world, describing how the same divine reality is spoken of in three roles corresponding to creation, protection, and dissolution.
