Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes dharmic order through proper ritual conduct: sacred acts should be performed with qualified priests (dvijavarāḥ) and with materials gathered ‘according to rule’ (yathāvidhi), reflecting disciplined kingship and respect for Vedic procedure.

Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates an instruction to prepare for a sacrifice: summon eminent Brāhmaṇas and assemble the required sacrificial materials and implements, addressing a ‘foremost Kuru’ as the responsible patron of the rite.
