Koṭikāśya’s Inquiry to the Radiant Woman near the Kadamba (कोटिकाश्यप्रश्नः)
Even amid hostility and power-struggles, the dishonour of women and the public humiliation of a noble household is presented as an ethical boundary; preserving kula-maryādā (family dignity) is treated as a dharmic concern.
Duryodhana urges that the king be freed together with his queens, expressing anxiety that the Kuru women might suffer disgrace; he frames the action as preventing a stain on the Kuru family’s reputation.
