अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni
शब्द: स्पर्शश्व॒ रूपं च तेजसो5थ गुणास्त्रय: । शब्द: स्पर्शश्व॒ वायौ तु शब्दश्वाकाश एव तु,शब्द, स्पर्श तथा रूप--ये तेजके तीन गुण हैं, शब्द और स्पर्श--ये दो गुण वायुके हैं तथा आकाशमें एक ही गुण है--शब्द
śabdaḥ sparśaś ca rūpaṃ ca tejaso 'tha guṇās trayaḥ | śabdaḥ sparśaś ca vāyau tu śabdaś cākāśa eva tu ||
“Tunog, haplos, at anyo—iyan ang tatlong katangian ng apoy. Tunog at haplos—iyan ang dalawang katangian ng hangin. At sa kalawakan ay iisa lamang ang katangian—ang tunog.”
