Indra’s Meeting with the Pāṇḍavas
ते जवेन महावेगा: प्लवमाना विहायसा । गन्धमादनमाजम्मु: प्रकर्षन्त इवाम्बरम्,वे महान् वेगशाली यक्ष आकाशमें उड़ते हुए गन्धमादन पर्वतपर आये, मानो समूचे आकाशमण्डल-को खींचे ले रहे हों
te javena mahāvegāḥ plavamānā vihāyasā | gandhamādanam ājagmuḥ prakarṣanta ivāmbaram ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Dahil sa bilis at napakalakas na bugso, lumusong sila sa himpapawid at narating ang Bundok Gandhamādana, na wari’y hinihila nila pati ang mismong bubong ng langit. Ipinakikita ng larawang ito ang puwersang hindi mapipigil sa paggalaw—kapangyarihang, kapag walang pagpipigil, ay maaaring lumamon sa mundong dinaraanan nito; kaya’t tahimik nitong ipinananawagan na ang lakas ay pamahalaan ng pagpipigil at ng wastong layon (dharma).
