बभज्जतुर्महावक्षानूरुभिबलिनां वरौ । अन्योन्येनाभिसंरब्धौ परस्परवधैषिणौ,बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ वे दोनों वीर अपनी जाँघोंके धक््केसे बड़े-बड़े वृक्षोंको तोड़ डालते थे और परस्पर कुपित हो एक-दूसरेको मार डालनेकी इच्छा रखते थे
babhajjatūr mahāvakṣān ūrubhir balināṁ varau | anyonyenābhisaṁrabdhau parasparavadhaiṣiṇau ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang dalawang bayaning iyon—pinakamahuhusay sa mga malalakas—ay nagwasak ng malalaking punò sa lakas ng kanilang mga hita. Sa tindi ng galit, bawat isa’y naghahangad ng kamatayan ng katunggali—ang poot ay lumalamon sa pagpipigil, at ang lakas ay nagiging sandata ng kapwa paglipol.
