आरुज्यारुज्य तौ वृक्षानन्योन्यमभिजषघ्नतु: । जीमूताविव गर्जन्तौ निनदन्तौ महाबलौ,दोनोंका बल महान् था। वे गर्जते हुए दो मेघोंकी भाँति सिंहनाद करके वृक्षोंकों तोड़- तोड़कर परस्पर चोट करते थे
ārūjyārūjya tau vṛkṣān anyonyam abhijaṣaghnatuḥ | jīmūtāv iva garjantau ninadantau mahābalau ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Sa taglay nilang lakas, paulit-ulit nilang binabali ang mga punò at iyon ang ipinampapalo sa isa’t isa. Umuungal at umuugong na parang dalawang ulap na may kulog, pinuno nila ang gubat ng sigaw ng digmaan habang nagpapalitan ng hampas.
