विशाला बदरी दृष्टा नरनारायणाश्रम: । दिव्या पुष्करिणी दृष्टा सिद्धदेवर्षिपूजिता,“विशाल बदरीतीर्थ, भगवान् नर-नारायणके आश्रम तथा सिद्धों और देवर्षियोंसे पूजित इस दिव्य सरोवरका भी दर्शन किया
viśālā badarī dṛṣṭā nara-nārāyaṇāśramaḥ | divyā puṣkariṇī dṛṣṭā siddha-devarṣi-pūjitā ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Nasaksihan nila ang malawak na sagradong lupain ng Badarī, ang āśrama ni Bhagavān Nara at Nārāyaṇa, at nakita rin ang isang makalangit na lawa ng lotus, na iginagalang at sinasamba ng mga Siddha at ng mga devarṣi. Ipinakikita ng talatang ito ang kapangyarihang nagpapadalisay ng paglalakbay-dambana—ang paglapit sa mga banal na pook at sa mga huwarang pantas upang luminis ang kalooban at umayon sa dharma.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights tīrtha-darśana—reverent visitation of sacred places and sage-abodes—as a dharmic practice that inspires self-restraint, devotion, and inner purification by keeping one in the company (physical or remembered) of the holy.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, the travelers/pilgrims reach and behold Badarī, the hermitage of the divine sages Nara and Nārāyaṇa, and a divine sacred lake honored by Siddhas and celestial seers, marking a significant stop in the tīrtha-journey sequence of the Vana Parva.
