युगेष्वावर्तमानेषु धर्मो व्यावर्तते पुन: । धर्मे व्यावर्तमाने तु लोको व्यावर्तते पुन:,युगोंके परिवर्तन होनेपर आनेवाले युगोंके अनुसार धर्मका भी हास होता जाता है। इस प्रकार धर्मके क्षीण होनेसे लोक (की सुख-सुविधा)-का भी क्षय होने लगता है
yugeṣv āvartamāneṣu dharmo vyāvartate punaḥ | dharme vyāvartamāne tu loko vyāvartate punaḥ ||
Wika ni Bhīma: “Habang umiikot at nagsusunod-sunod ang mga yuga, ang dharma man ay lumilihis—humihina ayon sa panahong dumarating. At kapag humina ang dharma, humihina rin ang daigdig: ang kaayusan, kaginhawahan, at mga kundisyong nagtataguyod sa buhay ng tao ay nababawasan kasabay nito.”
