Dharma is strengthened by heeding authoritative guidance—divine injunction and the wisdom of sages—rather than acting from impulse; seeking a sage’s āśrama signifies turning toward disciplined counsel and ethical clarity.
After a statement attributed to Viṣṇu, the group sets out and goes to the hermitage of the sage Agastya, indicating a transition from hearing an authoritative pronouncement to undertaking a purposeful journey for guidance.
