Kāleya-Āśrama-Vināśaḥ — The Kāleyas’ nocturnal raids and the devas’ supplication to Nārāyaṇa
तस्य पादौ सुरा राजन्नभिवाद्य प्रणम्य च | अयाचन्त वरं सर्वे यथोक्तं परमेछ्टिना,राजन! उस समय सब देवताओंने महर्षिके चरणोंमें अभिवादन एवं प्रणाम करके ब्रह्माजीने जैसे कहा था, उसी प्रकार उनसे वर माँगा
tasya pādau surā rājan abhivādya praṇamya ca | ayācanta varaṁ sarve yathoktaṁ parameṣṭhinā ||
O Hari, lumapit ang mga diyos sa rishi nang may paggalang: yumukod sila sa kanyang mga paa, naghandog ng pagpupugay, at ayon sa itinakda ng Lumikha (Brahmā), silang lahat ay humiling sa kanya ng isang biyaya.
लोगमश उवाच
Power is to be exercised within dharmic procedure: even gods seek outcomes through humility, respectful salutation, and adherence to the Creator’s ordinance, showing that rightful conduct precedes rightful gain.
Lomaśa tells the king that the gods approached a revered sage, bowed at his feet, and—following Brahmā’s prior instruction—collectively asked him for a boon.
