Sanatsujāta-Āhvāna (Summoning Sanatsujāta) — Vidura’s Invocation and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Doubt

सर्वान्‌ स्विष्टकृतो देवान्‌ विद्याद्‌ य इह कश्नन । न समानो ब्राह्मणस्य तस्मिन्‌ प्रयतते स्वयम्‌

sarvān sviṣṭakṛto devān vidyād ya iha kaścana | na samāno brāhmaṇasya tasmin prayatate svayam ||

Sabi ni Sanatsujāta: Kahit pa may isang tao sa mundong ito na nakakakilala sa lahat ng mga diyos na pinaniniwalaang nagbibigay ng ninanais na tagumpay, hindi pa rin siya makapapantay sa tunay na nakakakilala sa Brahman. Sapagkat ang naghahanap sa mga diyos ay nagsisikap lamang upang makamtan ang minimithing bunga, samantalang ang nakakakilala sa Brahman ay nakahihigit sa ganitong paghahangad na nakatali sa layunin.
