दुर्बुद्धिमकृतप्रज्ञं छन्न॑ कूपं तृणैरिव । विवर्जयीत मेधावी तस्मिन् मैत्री प्रणश्यति
durbuddhim akṛtaprajñaṁ channaṁ kūpaṁ tṛṇair iva | vivarjayīta medhāvī tasmin maitrī praṇaśyati ||
Sinabi ni Vidura: Dapat iwasan ng marunong ang taong masama ang paghatol at salat sa tunay na pag-unawa—gaya ng balong natatakpan ng damo. Ang pakikipagkaibigan sa gayong tao ay mauuwi sa kapahamakan, sapagkat hindi ito matitindig sa pag-unawa at pagtitiwala.
