Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 30: Sañjaya’s Departure and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Commission of Greetings
Power and prosperity should not be monopolized; unity and shared governance prevent ruin. Yudhiṣṭhira urges restraint, cooperation, and avoidance of choices that hand advantage to hostile forces.
In the Udyoga Parva’s peace-effort context, Yudhiṣṭhira instructs Sañjaya to convey a conciliatory message: the realm can sustain many, so the parties should live together rather than provoke conflict that would place them at the mercy of enemies.
