पराक्रमं मे यदवेदयन्त तेषामर्थे संजय केशवस्य । अनुस्मरंस्तस्य कर्माणि विष्णो- गवलल्‍गणे नाधिगच्छामि शान्तिम्‌,संजय! पाण्डवोंके लिये किये हुए श्रीकृष्णके उस पराक्रमका वृत्तान्त मेरे गुप्तचरोंने मुझे बताया था। गावल्गणे! श्रीहरिके उन वीरोचित कर्मोको बारंबार याद करके मुझे शान्ति नहीं मिल रही है

Transliteration

parākramaṃ me yad avedayanta teṣām arthe saṃjaya keśavasya | anusmaran tasya karmāṇi viṣṇor gavalgaṇe nādhigacchāmi śāntim, saṃjaya ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Sanjaya, ibinalita sa akin ng aking mga espiya ang kagitingang ipinamalas ni Keshava para sa kapakanan ng mga Pāṇḍava. O Gavalgana! Sa tuwing inuulit-ulit kong gunita ang mga gawang-bayani ni Viṣṇu (Kṛṣṇa), hindi ako makatagpo ng kapayapaan, O Sanjaya.”
