ततः सूतव्यसनिन विप्लुतं मां स भार्गव: । शरेणाभ्यहनद् गाढं विकृष्य बलवद्धनु:
tataḥ sūtavyasanin viplutaṃ māṃ sa bhārgavaḥ | śareṇābhyahanad gāḍhaṃ vikṛṣya balavaddhanuḥ ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Noong sandaling iyon, ako’y nayanig at nabagabag sa kapahamakan ng aking tagapagmaneho; subalit ang Bhargava—si Parashurama—ay hinila nang sukdulan ang kanyang makapangyarihang busog at tinamaan ako nang mabigat ng isang palaso.”
