Adhyāya 108: Paścima-dik—Varuṇa’s Realm, Sunset Cosmology, and Sacred-Geographic Markers

अत्र दुष्कृतकर्माणो नरा: पच्यन्ति गालव । अत्र वैतरणी नाम नदी वितरणैर्वृता
atra duṣkṛtakarmāṇo narāḥ pacyante gālava | atra vaitaraṇī nāma nadī vitaraṇair vṛtā ||
Dito, O Gālava, ang mga taong gumawa ng masasamang gawa ay niluluto sa pahirap. Dito rin naroon ang ilog na tinatawag na Vaitaraṇī, napapaligiran ng mga makasalanang nararapat ‘tawirin’ patungo sa impiyernong iyon—isang nakapanghihilakbot na hanggahan ng paghihiganti ng karma.
