Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
यत्र राजा महातेजा थधर्मपुत्र: स्थितो5भवत् । इन्द्रके साथ मरुद्गण, वसुगण, दोनों अश्विनीकुमार, साध्यगण, रुद्रगण, आदित्यगण, अन्यान्य देवलोकवासी सिद्ध और महर्षि सभी उस स्थानपर आये जहाँ महातेजस्वी धर्मपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिर खड़े थे ।।
yatra rājā mahātejā dharmaputraḥ sthito 'bhavat | indreṇa sārdhaṃ marudgaṇā vasugaṇā ubhāv aśvinīkumārau sādhyagaṇā rudragaṇā ādityagaṇā anye ca devalokavāsinaḥ siddhā maharṣayaś ca sarve tam deśam ājagmuḥ yatra mahātejā dharmaputra-rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ tiṣṭhatīti || tataḥ śakraḥ surapatiḥ śriyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
Sa pook na kinatatayuan ng makapangyarihan at maningning na hari—ang anak ni Dharma—dumating si Indra kasama ang mga pangkat ng Marut at Vasu; ang dalawang kambal na Aśvin; ang mga Sādhya, Rudra, at Āditya; at ang iba pang naninirahan sa devaloka, pati ang mga Siddha at mga dakilang rishi. Lahat sila’y nagtipon sa mismong lugar na kinatatayuan ng marangal na haring si Yudhiṣṭhira, na isinilang kay Dharma. Pagkaraan, si Śakra, panginoon ng mga diyos, na puspos ng sukdulang karangalan, ay (lumapit/nagpakita).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores that steadfast adherence to dharma culminates in recognition by the cosmic order itself: the righteous king is honored not merely by humans but by the full hierarchy of divine and perfected beings, suggesting that ethical integrity has transcendent consequences.
At the point where Yudhiṣṭhira stands (in the ascent-to-heaven episode), Indra arrives accompanied by multiple classes of gods, Siddhas, and great seers, forming a grand celestial assembly; then Indra, radiant with supreme splendor, comes forward.
