Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda

यस्य वेदिरुपस्तीर्णा तस्य लोका यथा मम । जिसके युद्ध-यज्ञकी वेदी नीले चमड़ेकी बनी हुई म्यानके भीतर रखी जानेवाली तलवारों तथा परिघके समान मोटी-मोटी भुजाओंसे बिछ जाती है

yasya vedir upastīrṇā tasya lokā yathā mama |

Sinabi ni Ambarīṣa: “Yaong ang dambana ng kanyang digma-yajña ay naihanda at naikalat nang wasto—sa pamamagitan ng mga tabak na nakalagay sa mga kalupkop na balat na bughaw at ng mga bisig na makakapal na tulad ng parigha (bakal na pamalo)—ang taong iyon ay magkakamit ng mga daigdig na tulad ng sa akin.”
