यदार्यजनविद्धिष्टं कर्म तन्नाचरेद्‌ बुध: । यत्‌ कल्याणमभिशध्यायेत्‌ तत्रात्मानं नियोजयेत्‌

Transliteration

yad āryajanaviddhiṣṭaṃ karma tan nācared budhaḥ | yat kalyāṇam abhiśadhyāyet tatrātmānaṃ niyojayet ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Vāmadeva: Ang marunong ay hindi dapat gumawa ng anumang gawain na sinisisi ng mga mararangal at may pinag-aralan. Sa halip, kapag malinaw nang natukoy kung alin ang tunay na kapaki-pakinabang at mapalad, doon lamang dapat italaga ang sarili.
