चतुर्थ तस्य धर्मस्य राजा भागं तु विन्दति । राजाके द्वारा भलीभाँति सुरक्षित हुए मनुष्य राज्यमें जिस धर्मका आचरण करते हैं, उसका एक चौथाई भाग राजा भी प्राप्त कर लेता है
caturthaṃ tasya dharmasya rājā bhāgaṃ tu vindati |
Wika ni Aiḷa: “Sa dharma na isinasagawa ng mga tao sa kaharian habang sila’y mahusay na napangangalagaan sa pamamahala ng hari, ang hari mismo ay tumatanggap ng isang-kapat na bahagi.” Ipinapakita ng taludtod ang paghahari bilang pakikipagsosyo sa kabutihang-asal: kapag ang pinuno’y nagbibigay ng katiwasayan at kaayusan, nakikibahagi siya sa kabutihang bunga ng matuwid na pamumuhay ng kaniyang nasasakupan.
ऐल उवाच
A ruler who ensures the safety and stability of the realm becomes a participant in the moral fruits of his subjects’ dharmic life; governance is ethically consequential, and protection enables righteousness.
In the Shanti Parva’s discussion of rajadharma, Aila states a principle of shared moral outcome: when people live righteously under a king’s effective protection, the king is said to receive a quarter share of that dharma’s merit.
