Act with propriety and timeliness: honor beings appropriately and give suitable offerings, and cultivate dharma by living in the company and discipline of the virtuous (sādhus) in an āśrama-like setting.
In Śānti Parva, Bhishma instructs the listener (addressed as ‘puruṣavyāghra’) on righteous conduct after the war, emphasizing respectful giving and the value of residing among the virtuous to stabilize one’s ethical life.
