Yudhiṣṭhira’s Post-Accession Settlements and Approach to Vāsudeva (युधिष्ठिरस्य राज्यस्थापनं वासुदेवाभिगमनं च)
कच्चिज्ज्ञानानि सर्वाणि प्रसन्नानि तवाच्युत | “बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ अच्युत! आपकी रात सुखसे बीती है न? सारी ज्ञानेन्द्रियाँ प्रसन्न तो हैंन?
kaccij jñānāni sarvāṇi prasannāni tavācyuta |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Acyuta, pinakadakila sa mga marurunong! Payapa at malinaw ba ang lahat ng iyong mga kakayahang pangkaalaman? Naipagdaan mo ba ang gabi nang maginhawa, na ang mga pandama at isip ay nasa pagpipigil?”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds inner composure as a prerequisite for right counsel and righteous action: clarity of the knowing faculties (jñānāni) and serenity (prasanna) are treated as signs of well-being and readiness for dharmic deliberation.
In the Shānti Parva’s reflective setting, the speaker inquires after Acyuta’s condition—whether his night has been restful and whether his senses and mind are calm—before proceeding with further conversation and instruction.
